Do you feel stuck in patterns you feel like you can't control? Like nothing you've tried so far has worked? This is often when we seek therapy - when we've tried to reframe and rethink, and still our emotions are not getting on board. In therapy, we create an intentional place to process feelings that have kept us stuck. We create more space to show up differently, and to question the narratives that no longer serve us.

As a trauma-informed therapist, I turn to a compassionate understanding of trauma and the way our past has impacted our nervous system and colored our stories - about ourselves, others, and the world. My years of working as a counselor have been centered around uncovering patterns, and freeing ourselves up to embrace our strengths while building new ones. I especially enjoy working with clients who have been impacted by codependency in their family system.

When working with couples, I use many of the same ideas of individual counseling. In the therapy space, you and your partner will have the chance to learn about each other’s strengths, stuck points, and energy shifts. Our goal in couple’s work is for each partner to become a secure base for the other, while each partner learns to embody home for themselves.
