You work so hard in all the areas of your life, but you still feel like you are falling short. You want to succeed at work, to improve your relationship, to be the best parent you can be. If you work hard enough and do well enough, the bad feelings should go away, right? You feel irritable, restless, or overwhelmed. If you ever find a little down time, your mind races and fixates on every worst case scenario. And sometimes, it feels like your body shuts down completely. You want to feel better. You want to understand what’s happening. You want to feel in control of your life.

Together, we can explore how your patterns of coping developed and understand why you feel stuck. We can work on building new strategies that help you reconnect with yourself and cultivate self-compassion. Through these practices you can create space for more joy in your life and connection in your relationships.

I practice from a trauma-informed, client-centered approach, utilizing evidence based interventions to best support the individual and their identified area of change. My therapeutic approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment Theory, somatic approaches, and parts work. I have a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and have received specialized training in Perinatal Mood Disorders, Trauma, Body Image Concerns, Attachment Theory, and Expressive Arts.

Before becoming a counselor, I spent a decade as a professional ballet dancer, which has informed my understanding and appreciation for the mind-body connection. When I am not seeing clients, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children, taking or teaching ballet classes, and learning how to grow vegetables and flowers in my new garden.
